The SSC GD exam pattern 2025 has been designed to assess candidates on their logical reasoning, general knowledge, numerical ability, and language skills. The exam is conducted in multiple stages, and candidates must qualify at each stage to move forward in the selection process.

SSC GD 2025 – Computer-Based Test (CBT) Pattern

Key Points:

1. Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
2. 25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
3. Candidates must score above the cutoff to qualify for the next stage.

3️. Elementary Mathematics

This section assesses basic mathematical and numerical skills.

3. Percentage, Ratio & Proportion
4. Averages & Mean
5. Profit, Loss & Discount
6. Simple & Compound Interest

8. Geometry & Mensuration (Area, Perimeter, Volume of Shapes)

4️. English/Hindi Language

This section evaluates language skills and comprehension ability.

2. Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases, One-Word Substitutions)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates who qualify for the CBT will undergo PET/PST to assess their physical fitness.

1. PET Requirements (Male & Female Candidates)

Male Candidates:

• Race: 5 km in 24 minutes
• Race (Ladakh region): 1.6 km in 7 minutes

Female Candidates:

• Race: 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes
• Race (Ladakh region): 800 meters in 5 minutes

2. PST Requirements (Height & Chest Measurements)

Male Candidates:

• Height: 170 cm (relaxation for certain categories)
• Chest: 80 cm (minimum) with 5 cm expansion

Female Candidates:

• Height: 157 cm (relaxation for certain categories)

Note: Relaxation in height & chest measurements applies for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms.
